SPEAK OUT! #1’sTooMany Campaign
More than 68% of women experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime .Outraged with the absence and insufficiency of a rights-based discourse when addressing gender based violence, the climate of impunity surrounding cases of violence against women and girls, and also the systematic failure in investigating or providing redress to violence against women, which remain the root causes of sex and gender discrimination, WCoZ launched the #1’sTooMany campaign to galvanize action to end violence against women in the world of work. This campaign also builds on the United Nations Global advocacy theme campaign this year, Orange the World: #HearMeToo. When victims fail to speak out and when perpetrators are not held accountable, impunity intensifies and violence against women becomes acceptable and inevitable. Speak Out!
