The police service is a very important institution in the justice delivery system because it is the first to be approached when survivors of GBV are seeking justice. This is particularly important in Zimbabwe where there are high levels of genderbased violence. However, the security sector is often viewed as part of the problem by survivors of GBV. This publication profiles the voices of women and their experiences in getting access to justice.
